Yes, Family Budget is completely free to use. There are no hidden fees, subscriptions, or premium tiers.

Each family account supports up to 2 members — perfect for couples managing shared expenses together.

We support over 20 currencies including CAD, USD, EUR, TWD, JPY, GBP, and more. Exchange rates are updated daily so your balances stay accurate.

We fetch daily exchange rates from a reliable open API. When you log an expense, the rate from that day is used for conversions — so your balance reflects what things actually cost at the time.

Tap the + button on any page, fill in the amount, pick a currency and category, and save. Your expense is logged instantly and split according to your family's ratios.

By default, expenses are split using the ratios you set in Family Settings. You can also customize the split for any individual expense — choose 50/50, all mine, all theirs, or drag the slider to any ratio.

Use the "Cash Transfer" option from the balance summary on your dashboard. Enter the amount you're transferring and the recipient — it records the payment and adjusts your balance.
